Socks missing from the dryer go to Sock-Ville!
November 29th, 2007 AlisonAnd this is how it goes..
My friends have a hamster that’s a big jerk and bites them when they try to hold him, so I told them they should throw him in the garbage.. and then drew a picture of it for them so they could understand how it would work!
I once took one of those Survival Quizzes where they ask a series of multiple choice questions, and then tell you if you would survive life (or whatever). One of the questions was what to do if you see a shark fin break the water near to you. One of the options is to play dead. The reason why this answer is incorrect is because “…playing dead will confuse the shark. It can sense that you’re not dead and may bite you to get a response.”
This is what it would probably look like after you’ve seen the fin, and before it’s decided to take a bite…
First, tomorrow is Blog Nothing Day to support the writer’s strike, so I won’t be posting anything.
Now on to the real business, here’s a drawing I did of my first experience at Toni Bulloni’s in Yorkville. My friend Liz told me “when you see the size of the panzerottis you’re going to shit” and I asked “Like this? Huuuuuhhhhhh!” That may not seem too eventful, but this was within the first month at a new job, and was the first time I made a joke there.. haha
I just went out snowboarding for the first time of the season on my brand new Burton 06/07 GTwin snowboard. After a great day, I was toweling off my board, and noticed two vertical cracks in the top sheet. Lame. I’ll be calling Skiis & Biikes on Monday to talk to their warranty guy to see what’s gonna happen

**UPDATE** (Dec 10/07)
I just got back from picking up my (GTwin 07/08) replacement board.. sick!

I wasn’t sure what a rebus was, so I drew what I thought it was, based on the word “re-bus” (which turned out to kind of be a rebus anyway..)
A friend and I were being taken to the Keg Mansion on Jarvis for dinner one night, and since it’s supposed to be haunted, we were hoping to see a ghost. I drew a picture of what the encounter might be like, but we’ll never know, because we didn’t see a ghost.
